Level 1

This class is taught by:

Leanna Hamilton

Leanna teaches Vinyasa Flow, where she integrates creativity, strength, and grace. Leanna believes that yoga is a form of creative expression, and encourages this throughout her classes.

Leanna grew up in Redlands, CA, and then studied dance at Belhaven University. In 2010, she was first introduced to yoga, and there was no turning back. She was exhilarated by this foreign exercise where athleticism and creativity were hand in hand. Leanna found that as the dance world became something of the past, yoga became the present. She was able to express her artistry through Vinyasa Flow. After two years of being an eager student, Leanna decided to hop on the band-wagon, and pursue becoming a yoga instructor. She trained through one of her inspirations, Tiffany Cruickshank Yoga.

Leanna's favorite pose is Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Handstand). In a world where you feel like there is no stopping, handstand requires you to stop, and be fully present. Handstand also encourages blood circulation and a renewed sense of mental clarity. Don't be surprised if you find yourself upside-down in one of her classes.

Lisa Villalpando

My introduction to yoga was in 2007. It was offered through a wellness program by my employer. It was a community oriented class held in a conference room twice weekly. I was eager to learn and I was hooked. I was a runner at the time, experiencing sore knees and taking a daily dose of Ibuprofen. Practicing yoga , I found I no longer awoke feeling sore and discontinued the anti-inflammatories. I began training for my first marathon the summer of 2009, and yoga remained a nice compliment to a grueling training schedule. I was in the best shape of my life, feeling confident and happy! I finished the Surf City Marathon on February 7, 2010. The following week, on February 13, 2010, I experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Since then, yoga has meant much more than helping me through marathons. Yoga has helped me through life. There have been many dark days and I knew I could always come to my mat and feel safe. I know, first hand, the true meaning of mind-body connection as I had lost mine for quite some time. Yet I kept coming back to my mat and eventually felt overtime I was gaining more awareness and equanimity in my heart and mind. I’ve had the honor to practice at Inner Evolution since the Studio opened, June 1, 2010. IEY has played an integral role in helping me through grief, sorrow, anger and healing. I completed my 200 hour Teacher Training with Inner Evolution Yoga, August 2014 and I am excited to share this gift we call Yoga with others.

Caiti McCulloch

Caiti’s yoga journey began in 2010. She turned to yoga to challenge herself and try something new. Little did she know, she had begun a life-changing journey of healing and self-discovery. Caiti loves that, in yoga, there is always something new to explore and to practice on the mat, as well as off the mat. She recently graduated from IEY’s teacher training program and is very excited to share what she has learned!
A class Ideal for the student with some yoga experience. Through flowing sequences linking breath to movement, learn how to train the body and mind to increase strength, stamina and focus.
